Cylindrical Plano-Convex
Lenses
Cylindrical lens is a lens having at least one surface that is formed like
a portion of a cylinder instead of a sphere. While spherical lens
symmetrically magnifiers in two dimensions, cylindrical lens acts
only in one dimension. The lenses can be used to focus light into
a slit or converge light for a line scan detector.
