The windows are used as the last optic before the work area to protect high quality optics against material splatter while cutting, welding, and engraving.
The protective windows are coated with an anti-reflection (AR) coating for the laser beam, AR coatings at other wavelengths are possible, and in addition a visible AR coating can be added for improving the transmission of the beam. The protective windows can be manufactured from BK7 or quartz, and sapphire, depending on the power density of the laser.
The mostly common size are 12.7mm, 25.4mm, 38.1mm and 50.8mm with thickness 1mm, 3mm, 6.35mm, except the listed standard series, other sizes can also be supplied.
